First Post

Normally I keep to myself when it comes down to my job but I figure, if I can help someone at work then I can help people via blog by making them aware of benefits or where their tax dollars are going. Before I get into that, let me give you a bit of a background about myself.

I will not reveal my name so I will call myself Ms. Caseworker. I work as a case worker/social worker/assistant director at a non-profit organization. The name of the organization will not be revealed; however it is corrupt as fuck. Excuse my "French" but I am a tad bit bitter towards the people I work for, which consists of people whom are disorganized and greedy fuckers that look at the whole picture as a profit instead of helping people. Funny how it is a non-profit yet they are looking to make a profit in other ways. Actually, I should clarify this... the program that I work for does help people or attempts to in various way. My job is to make sure that senior citizens and low income individuals/households obtain the necessary benefits in order to survive fast paced money eating New York City. With the amount that I get paid, I really shouldn't stress over these people because at the end of the day, what do they really do for me? Guilt will NOT eat me up at the end of the day if I refuse to help an individual in need but I do it because I like to help those in need and stand up for their rights as well as what they deserve.

I really don't act that way for many of clients. I have clients who have 50k in their bank account and get paid off the books, yet they try to cheat the system to get food stamps or health insurance. With these type of people, I will listen to their story and then explain to them qualifications. At the end of my explanation I will add "by the way, if you get caught, I am not responsible if you are fined with a penalty or even worse, jailed." Once the hungry bastards hear that, they become tense, look at me with one eye, and leave without a good bye or a handshake.

See the good thing is, previous to this job (which I won't have for the rest of my life) I had an investigation job. I graduated with a degree in investigation and forensic psychology. When someone is lying or when their story just doesn't make sense due to inconsistency or a play of words, I catch them. Do I tell them anything? Nope! I wait until they are done with their fibs and sob stories. I let them have their drama moment before I crush them.

I will not be surprised if your stomachs turn when you read where your tax dollars are going. As liberal as I am (I rarely get political), I hate seeing money going to places it shouldn't be within non-profit organizations. Having a co-worker accept gifts from low income individuals, sickens me. When I bring it up to her, she thinks I am jealous. To each their own I guess but you know what, I will be putting an end to that.

This blog will not consists of rants only. It will be informative, comical, hair pulling, and a fun read. Hopefully many of you out there will get to read it and enjoy it.

I accept all forms of commenting. I do not get offended and any ideas you would like to share, they are welcome.

That is all for now. I have a good one everyone out there!
